On March 18th, the EH216-S, the world's first domestically developed and independently researched "air taxi" unmanned passenger aircraft that has obtained airworthiness certification, was listed on Taobao with a price tag of 2.39 million yuan. Currently, it is in a pre-sale status, and orders placed will be shipped within 30 days.

According to information, the EH216-S can carry two passengers, measures 6.05 meters in length, 5.73 meters in width, and 1.93 meters in height, and is composed of 16 rotors. As a fully intelligent unmanned aircraft, it is capable of vertical take-off and landing without the need for a runway, primarily operating in low-altitude airspace. Its maximum single-flight range is a straight-line distance of 30 kilometers in the air, with a maximum flight speed of up to 130 kilometers per hour. Managed by a ground command and scheduling system, multiple aircraft can complete orderly unmanned flights in the air.

In terms of appearance, the EH216-S resembles a helicopter with numerous rotors, but compared to the single rotor of a traditional helicopter, the EH216-S boasts eight axes with up to 16 rotors, resembling the tentacles of Doctor Octopus from afar. The most notable feature of this aircraft is the multi-backup design concept adopted for each key component, fully ensuring safe and stable flight.
